As of April 22, 2024, Rev transcribes English lyrics in a file when they are the focus of the content or sung by a main speaker.
Background Music
When songs are playing in the background and are not the focus of the content, the lyrics will not be transcribed.
Example: There is a song playing on a TV in the background while a discussion is happening in the foreground.
Lyrics
If a song is playing and the speakers are interacting with it, singing along, or discussing it, it then becomes the focus and the lyrics will be transcribed.
Instrumental Music
If a file only has instrumental music, it will be transcribed with a single (music) notation tag with Music as the speaker label.
