How Do I Trim an Audio File?

Have more questions? Submit a request

Sometimes you may need only a portion of an audio file transcribed. It is important to note that all charges are based on the entire runtime of the file because our team still needs to review the entire file, regardless of silent portions, however, we definitely don't want you to pay for anything you don't need.

While we're not able to honor start or stop times, you can trim your file before sending it to us so that only the portion you need is transcribed. To easily trim a file, you can use our free online audio trimmer and cutter

Start by selecting the purple Upload button and uploading the file you wish to trim. Once your file has been uploaded, you will see it displayed in a blue box with white bars on either side. Click and drag the white bars to trim the desired sections off the beginning and end.

All trimmed files will export in MP3 format, regardless of the format uploaded. Video formats are not supported.
