You can download your files with ease from different locations. 

Download from a Workspace

You can download your files from your Workspace by clicking on the context menu icon ellipses menu to the right of the file name and then clicking Download.

 

You can also download your files from your Workspace by clicking on the context menu icon ellipses menu to the right of the file name and then clicking View file details. Under file details, click the download icon next to the associated file that you want to download. 

 

Download from the editor

Click on the file name to open it in the online editor. 

In the transcipt editor, click on the download icon download after editing your transcript

In the captions and subtitles editor, click on Download in the top right corner after editing your captions/subtitles

Download from your order history

Navigate to your Transaction History on the left of your account .

 

Click on the order number to open the order.

On the Order Details page click on to download your file. 

Bulk download

You can bulk download multiple files from the same service line as a zip folder. 

Select the checkbox next to the names of the files you want to download, then click Download at the top of the page. 

 

You will see a pop-up at the bottom of the page to confirm your zip file is being generated.

Followed by a confirmation that the file is downloading. 

Important note: If you attempt to download audio/video-only files or files from different service lines, the system will attempt to prepare your download, but no zip file will be created/downloaded. 

  • The download format is based on your order preferences. By default, these preferences are set to:
    Microsoft Word (.docx) for transcripts
  • Subrip (.srt) for Captions

You can change these default formats to any other formats we provide for that service under Order Preferences in your account. 

 

Export to Google Drive

You can export your files directly to Google Drive. 

Check the boxes next to the files you want to export and then click Export at the top of the page. 

If it's your first time exporting, you'll need to connect your Google Drive.

Once your Google Drive is connected, you will see the files you've selected in a confirmation window. Click Export to continue. 

On the next page you'll see all your Google Drive folders. Select the folder that you want to share the files to and then click Select

You can disconnect your Google Drive under My Integrations in your account settings. 

 

Download original audio/video

If you placed a transcription order you can open the editor and download your original audio or video file from within the editor. 

Click on the file to open it in the online editor. Once in the editor click on File Details in the top right corner. Scroll to the bottom of your File Details and click on Download Media

You can also download your original audio/video file from any service order by navigating to your Order History on the left of your account.

Click on the order number to open the order. On the order details page click on the file name under Original Documents

 

Export Options

When you click on Download the download options menu will open. You will then be able to customize how you want your downloaded file to be formatted before downloading. 

Transcripts

The download menu has three sections:

  • Output format
  • File type
  • Additional export options

 

Output Format

  • In-line: Speaker names & timestamps in-line with transcript body. No cap on speaker name length.
  • Columns: Speaker names & timestamps in columns next to transcript body.
     
  • Avid Script Sync: A file formatted to work with Avid. Your order must include burned-in timecode sync.
  • Edit Decision list: In CMX3600 format, list of timecodes corresponding to the highlighted sections of transcript.
  • Captions: This is an informal file type conversion that does not have editor capabilities. 

 

File Type

  • Plain text .txt
  • Microsoft Word .docx
  • PDF

 

Additional Export Options
Choose the checkbox next to the items you want to include in your file. To include timestamps, you need to have added the timestamps add-on at checkout (automatically included with AI transcription).

 

Captions and subtitles

Start by selecting the Output File Format. If you need more than one format, you can select multiple formats. Your files will then be downloaded as a ZIP folder with all the selected file formats included. 

If you ordered burned-in captions, you can customize the appearance of the captions on your video. Learn more about ordering, editing and downloading burned-in captions here

If your video has a start time later than 00:00 can offset the captions to match your video by changing the start time. If you need a negative offset (your video starts before 00:00) please email support@rev.com with the SRT file and the negative start time that you need applied in -00:00:00.000 format.
