Rev’s Summary Templates streamline the process of summarizing transcripts and text-based files using predefined summary formats. AI Templates are available to all user roles and subscription tiers, however, different plans have access to specific templates.
Click on any of your transcribed files to open them in the Transcript Editor. In the editor, you can click on Summary to open the Summary menu.
Summary templates are predefined templates that you can choose from when generating summaries & insights. Select a template from the drop-down menu and then click on Generate Summary.
Once a summary is generated, you can copy it to your clipboard.
If you want to try a different template, you can choose a new template from the drop-down menu and then click on regenerate summary.
You can edit your summary by clicking on the pencil icon .
AI Summary Builder
AI Summary Builder is a tool that enables you to leverage the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) to create custom summary templates. AI Summary Builder uses a building block approach to assemble summary templates. The AI summary builder is available to Enterprise Subscription customers.
You can open the AI Summary Builder from the left-hand menu within your account. To create a template, click on New Template .
You can add a name and description to your new template on the right-hand side of the builder.
Each template is made up of AI blocks. Click on Add Blocks and then drag and drop AI Blocks from the available list into your template. You can remove AI blocks from the template by clicking on Remove next to the block.
Once you have named your template and added blocks, click on Create to save the Summary Template and use it with your transcripts.
You can preview your Summary Template by selecting one of your transcripts and clicking on Preview.
AI Blocks
Rev’s AI Blocks allow for a high degree of customization in creating summaries by using individual AI-driven components. This guide will help you understand how to create and use AI Blocks within Rev. Note that creating and managing AI Blocks is limited to admin-type user roles for Enterprise Subscriptions.
You can access the AI Blocks Builder from the Templates Builder page.
Click on New Block and then enter your block's name, description, and the LLM prompt. Select an LLM type from the drop-down menu and then on Create to save your block. Once you have created a block, you can click on it from the list of blocks on the left to edit it. Once selected, you can edit and save your changes, delete the block, or deactivate/activate the block.
