Supplementary resource documents are not required for placing an order, but are necessary for Rev to deliver high quality transcripts quickly.
Ability to determine the proceeding type for the legal transcript being ordered.
It will be required to determine what proceeding type the legal transcript is for. Rev will be using the proceeding type to better determine the work needed for delivering the high quality transcript.
The proceeding type categories are:
- Depositions
- Hearings
- Examinations Under Oath
- Statements On Record
- Other: This proceeding type is meant for proceedings that do not fall into the 4 proceeding types we support at scale. Please coordinate with your AE or CSM before using this category
Ability to determine the Ready to Certify Template for the legal Ready to Certify transcript being ordered.
For orders that include an RTC deliverable (unless they are an “Other” for proceeding type), will require a template from our system to be specified. You will see the list of available RTC templates you have with Rev for the proceeding type you choose when choosing your template. You also have the ability to download a sample file done with that template in order to see exactly how it would look in the final deliverable.
Ability to have multiple splits of the same audio added to the order where the splits will be concatenated by Rev
If your recording file has been split into multiple audio files, you would have the ability to just upload all of the split files at check out and have Rev concatenate them for you. You will have the option to see all the files, reorder them as necessary for the concatenation, and add or remove files for the concatenation.
Updates
- A better user experience uploading all relevant files for each order with prescribed templates for specific proceeding types and jurisdictions.
- A better user experience adding/removing supplementary documents after the order has been placed.
- Every Order will consist of only one proceeding. Users can merge split recording or submit multiple channels, but Rev will treat each order as an order for a single proceeding transcript.
- All Orders will provide customers the option to submit “Backup Audio.” Like other supplementary documents, using the backup audio recording is up to our transcriptionists discretion, and not standard practice under our SLAs.
Notes
- Reiterating that all transcription Orders will allow for backup audio submission. It is to be expected that for HRD orders, backup audio will not be reviewed.
