Connect Brightcove and Rev Accounts
Below are the steps you need to take in order to connect your Rev and Brightcove accounts.

Ensure your Rev account has a payment source
Please note: you will not be able to place orders using the Brightcove integration if you do not have a payment source.
There are two ways to add payment:
- Add a credit card on the Account Billing Settings page
- Fill out this form to become a corporate customer - you'll be billed monthly at the end of the month.
Add a New Linked Account on Rev.com
In your Rev Account Settings page, scroll down to Integration Settings and click on Link New Account.
Select Brightcove as the account type.
Register Brightcove application
Log in to your Brightcove account and navigate to the “API Authentication” page via the “Admin” menu at the top right corner.
Click Register New Application.
Name your application and select at least one account for authorization.
Add the permissions in the screenshot below and click Save.
- CMS: Video Read, Video Read/Write
- Ingestion Profiles: Configuration Read, Configuration Read/Write, Read
Input Brightcove credentials
Copy the ClientID and Client Secret from your Brightcove account to your Rev account.
Navigate to the Account Information page via the Admin menu at the top right corner.
Copy the Account ID from your Brightcove account to your Rev account.
Click Link to finish setting up your Brightcove integration. Your Rev account is now connected to your Brightcove account and you are ready to submit Brightcove videos to Rev.

Placing Orders
Below are the steps you need to order captions and global subtitles using our Brightcove/Rev integration.
Select your videos
In Brightcove, go to your Videos list. Select the video(s) you would like to send to Rev and click Tag.
Tag videos with “Rev”
Add and save your tags from the list below to order captions and/or global subtitles. English captions come free with global subtitles, so no need to tag rev-en when ordering global subtitles.

If you want to place a Rush order for your video, you need to add a rev-rush tag to your video. This tag will be removed from the video once the order has been delivered.
You're all set. Brightcove will look for new orders every hour. Once the video has been received by Rev, the tag will change from rev-fr to rev-fr-placed.
Occasionally, orders may be canceled due to poor audio quality or prohibitively challenging content. If an order you place is canceled and you don't believe it was related to one of these reasons, you can use the rev-redo tag to place a new order. Adding the rev-redo tag can place a new order for a video that had previously been unsuccessful as well as one that already has a text track uploaded from a successful order. Rev-redo tags are automatically removed after an order is placed. If there is poor audio or prohibitively challenging content, we do not recommend submitting the file to be redone since the end product can be negatively impacted due to those elements.
Receive your captions
When your order is complete, the tag will change from rev-placed to rev-completed.
When your order is complete, the tag will change from rev-es-la-placed to rev-es-la-completed.
The captions and/or subtitles will be automatically delivered to the video in your Brightcove account. You can also view and edit the files from your Rev account.
