Rev offers speech-to-text service for English audio/video content as well as other languages, depending on which service you order.
Human Transcription
At this time we only offer English-to-English Human Transcription services, though we may add other languages in the future. We do not translate non-English audio into English.
If you submit a file that's entirely in a different language, we will cancel that file and issue a full refund for it.
If you submit a mixed-language file that has non-English dialogue but also has some English in it, we will transcribe the English and note the other language with a timestamp, but the other language will not be transcribed.
Please note that if there is an interpreter speaking in the file, the non-English dialogue will not be timestamped.
Human Captions
Our human captions service is available in English and Spanish. Dialogue spoken in other languages will not be included in your completed file.
If you submit a file that's entirely in a different language, we will cancel that file and issue a full refund for it.
If you submit a mixed language file that contains the language you ordered as well as additional language/s, we will caption the language your ordered and note the other language with an atmospheric such as (speaking in a foreign language), but the other language will not be captioned.
Please note that we will not capture non-English/Spanish languages even if English/Spanish subtitles are present on screen or a translation has been provided.
We can only caption English audio for English caption orders and Spanish audio for Spanish caption orders.

AI Services & Subscription
All of our plans include English AI transcription and AI captions. Our more comprehensive plans include additional languages. You can find a breakdown of which languages are available for each subscription plan on our Subscription page.
The language you select must match the language spoken in your file. Any spoken languages other than the selected language will not be captured and if you select a language that is not spoken in your audio/video then your file will be incomplete. We do not translate spoken dialogue in your files.
