HIPAA protections apply to accounts on this plan with a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Rev. The plan is available at the Unlimited level (formerly called Enterprise) and is set up with Rev's Sales team.

HIPAA Compliance For Other Products
The HIPAA subscription plan covers the Rev web and mobile apps. Rev also offers HIPAA options for the Rev AI API and for Legal transcription. HIPAA protections are set up for each account, so having HIPAA on one account or product doesn't turn it on for another.
HIPAA for Rev.ai API
Rev AI API accounts can be HIPAA enabled. This requires a signed BAA and an updated Master Service Agreement (MSA). Rev sets up a new Rev AI account for HIPAA-compliant orders instead of converting an existing account, so you'll create a new account and send its details to your Rev sales contact. Rev AI then enables HIPAA-compliant processing on that account and confirms when it's done. You can check that HIPAA is enabled on the Account page at rev.ai/account.
HIPAA-enabled Rev AI accounts don't support human services, and some API fields and features aren't available. See the Rev AI HIPAA documentation for the full list.
To get started, contact your account manager or Rev Sales team.
HIPAA for Legal transcription
Rev Legal transcription orders that require HIPAA are worked only by transcribers who meet Rev's HIPAA requirements. These transcribers complete HIPAA certification every year, pass a background check, and sign a BAA with Rev. To set up HIPAA for your Legal account, contact your account manager or speak with our sales team if you don't have an account yet.
