Changing the billing email and credit card attached to a Rev Live Captions subscription can be confusing. The payment methods for our traditional services within the account are not associated with Rev Live Captions. It is easy to make changes there believing they will also apply to the Rev Live Captions, but unfortunately, this is not the case. The goal of this article is to guide your access to the settings for Rev Live Captions.
Changing Payment Method for Your Rev Live Captions Subscription
To begin, log in to your Rev account and locate the dropdown box in the upper right with your name. Clicking on the dropdown will give you 8 options.
The most common mistake is clicking on the "Settings" option shown below.
This is for our traditional services such as Transcription, Captions for prerecorded content, and subtitles. Rev Live Captions is independent of these other services. These billing options are intended to change the email and credit card for those services only.
The correct option is just above that. Click on Manage Live Captions:
Next, click on Manage Subscription as seen below:
The pop-up window will list the options you'll need to adjust. Click on "Payment Methods".
Then choose the "Edit Payment Method" option.
From here, you can enter the new card information and update the account.
There is a second way to access that option as well. If you click the box with the subscription information it brings you to another set of options.
From here you can also change the card, add slots in the program, and cancel the subscription.
Changing the Billing Email for Your Rev Live Captions Subscription
To change the billing email, or have someone added as a CC to those monthly invoices, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with a request, and they will make those changes on your behalf. If you need to reduce the number of seats for your subscription, please contact the support team for this as well. The above options only allow you to add seats at this time.
