What can I do if I disagree with a grade?
*Note: This article applies only to Transcription (TC) and Captions (CP). Disputing grades is not currently available for Subtitles. If you are a Subtitles (SU) Revver and would like clarification on a grade you received, please email quality@rev.com with the project number and all relevant information. (New 01/23/2023)
The grading process is in place as a quality check. If a project is selected to be graded, our team of graders will review your project and it will be rated on accuracy and formatting (and in captioning, alignment) on scales of 1 to 5. You will receive written feedback on what you did well in the clips that were reviewed as well as tips on how you can improve.
The dispute process is in place to ensure graders are correctly noting accuracy and formatting errors (and in captioning, alignment) per Rev's style guidelines, and assigning the score based on the severity and frequency of the errors in the graded sections. If you disagree with a grade, you have the option of filing a dispute ticket.

Can I get clarification on these grading notes?
If you need clarification on a grader's comments or you receive feedback that doesn't align with the Style Guide or Help Center, you can file a dispute following the steps noted above.
Disputing isn’t just for trying to get a grade changed. Even if the grader didn’t score down, you can still dispute for things like clarification on a grader’s comments or to let the Revver Performance team know that a grader’s comments might not be in-line with the Style Guide, Help Center, or general expectations. Disputing will give the Revver Performance team the information needed in order to follow up with the grader.
Do graders edit the project I've completed?
No. Grading is a read-only process. Transcription graders review pre-selected 60-second clips. Captions graders review pre-selected 30-second clips. If a file is deemed not customer-ready, it will be sent to the Find Work queue to be picked up by another agent. You will not have the option to correct or improve the file yourself.
Will all my files be graded?
As a transcriptionist, all of your files as a Rookie are graded except five Rev Training files which receive only automated feedback, no scores. When you graduate to Revver, a random portion of your files will be graded. If your file is selected for Review, the Reviewer will not assign scores but will deem whether the file is customer-ready or not customer-ready. More information can be found in this article: Grading and Review (Quality Control)

How long does the dispute process take?
After filing your dispute, the Revver Performance Team will review the overall file. This review process may take up to a few days. You will receive an email with the final scores, or you may check the ticket status here: Ticket Status
Can I dispute all scores?
You may dispute scores issued by Revver graders, but generally, you cannot dispute scores issued by Rev Support or the Revver Performance Team, which are considered final and will be marked with "Support" on the project details page. If you have questions about a "Support"-issued grade, you can reply to the email and a member of our Revver Performance team will offer clarification and guidance.
