FAQ
Are there any requirements for this process to work?
Yes, there are a few requirements. Your video must have been uploaded to Rev directly or sent in via an external URL. Videos submitted to Rev through the Vimeo integration or any other integration will not cooperate with this process. In addition, this process will only work for videos submitted to Rev for captioning or subtitles that are in a delivered, completed state.
Can Rev upload a copy of my video with the captions burned in using this process?
At this time, that is not possible. Rev will upload the video and the sidecar captions as separate files to the same destination.
What kind of quality will my uploaded video be in?
The video that you see in the captions editor is the same copy that Rev will upload on your behalf. The copy could potentially be a lower-resolution copy than the original video provided when the order was placed, however, these copies are sufficient for most online use.
Can Rev send these videos automatically?
Not yet. We aren't sure if this will be automated in the future, but for now, they must be manually triggered by visiting the Rev website and following the steps listed in the section above.
